The lagoon is approximately 25 acres and more than 30 feet deep. The entry into the lagoon is approximately 6 feet deep so it will accommodate most larger boats without modification. The island has a naturally high ridge along the western shore line but will need sand fill over much of the rest of the island.
As you can see by the pictures, the coral life around the island is incredible. The island is located in the Lagoon Range just south of the Cat Cayes area. It's one of the closest islands to the mainland at only 7 miles east of Riversdale. Access is best from Sittee River which is 12 miles to the north, or Placencia at 13 miles to the southwest.
This island offers some of the best anchorage in the country with an easy lagoon entrance and close proximity to mainland attractions and communities.
Lagoon Caye has development clearance and entitlements to erect five 30'x30' residences, five thatched palapas measuring 10'x10' and 2 docking facilities 50'x8' and 30'x8', elevated walkways and structures for housing generators and other equipment related to the proposed project.
