The main cottage is perfectly sited atop a granite shoulder surrounded by a mixed forest of pine, maple and oak. The east facing front entrance and kitchen/pantry overlook the harbour while the principal rooms are oriented to breathtaking southwest views of the open water.
At the harbour one is greeted by open decks terraced against a dramatic, smooth rock face and a gently trickling waterfall. The approach to the front entrance is via a gently sloping boardwalk, scribed into the rock, which curves up to the entrance deck. perfect for carts and completely accessible for wheelchair or walker
Undulating curves of the entrance deck repeat the curve of the arched windows and front door.
The entrance foyer opens into a large great room; kitchen, living and dining with a sun room off the dining area. A southwest facing window wall and sky lights flood the room with light and 9' high walls and vaulted ceilings enhance the impression of airy spaciousness.
Finishing materials and the palate are muted light neutrals, pale blond, off white, pale pine ceilings, light beige broadloom, all in deference to the glorious natural surroundings.

A wet bar separates the living & dining areas with bar fridge, bar sink and undercounter storage.
Dining Room
Just steps from the kitchen the dining room is adjacent to the sun room. The space easily accommodates a table for 12 with room to spare.
The Sun Room
Fondly known as the 'Tree House' by the owners the sun room features floor-to-ceiling windows on 3 sides, all with screens. A door on the north side of the sun porch accesses a Barbeque Deck and a second door opposite opens onto a generous front deck which runs the length of the structure and wraps around the Master Suite at the south end.

Two levels of decks allow for easy entry and unloading and space for entertaining or enjoying the quiet view. Docks furnish tie up for 6-8 boats. The decks are supported by a steel superstructure. In the winter the ramps are removed and the boatshed remains floating.
The Workshop
Also dockside is a full tool/workshop and storage facility. It houses power panels, and, conveniently has a full fridge/ freezer.
The Guest Cabin
The recently constructed, 550 sq.ft. guest cabin is sited on the shoreline north of the harbour and is accessed via water to a 'Cliffhanger dock' or via a footpath through the woods from the main cabin. The interior has not yet been completed.

The landscaping is restrained and natural, utilizing and enhancing the existing topography and plant materials; natural depressions in the rock are planted with gardens, naturally occurring specimens are highlighted, such asa magnificent old "bonsai' white pine, and water is trickled over a riven rock face and spills into the bay.
