Located about 9 miles offshore from Fox Town, Little Abaco places it just 130 nautical miles from Florida, making it one of the closest Abaco destinations to the United States. Moraine Cay is a remote, secluded, attractive, personal-sized 30 acre island that is served by the government operated airport near Treasure Cay, or the international airport in Marsh Harbor, Great Abaco. Customs and Immigration for inbound vessels, as well as a 5000 foot private airstrip, are located on Spanish Cay about 15 miles away.
Moraine Cay is legendary for sport diving and snorkeling that begins at its shoreline and extends to the outer reef on the edge of the Little Bahama Bank and beyond. There is an abundance of sea life in the surrounding waters where lobster and conch abound, as well as grouper, snapper, hog fish and so much more. Stone claw crabs are caught just to the southwest of the Cay and monster grouper, amberjack and other deep reef fish can be caught just offshore past the edge of the Little Bahama Bank. Because of it's remote location, about 37 miles ESE of Walker's Cay and 35 miles WNW of Treasure Cay, there is less pressure on the offshore sport fishing resources, where dolphin, tuna, wahoo and billfish may be caught.
Currently set up as a small resort with a number of modest residential structures, the cay offers the perfect place for your family and friends to go to get away from it all, as well as an opportunity to produce income when you are not using it personally!
