Yesterday’s travellers were adventurers in search of the extraordinary. And that’s exactly what they found when they arrived by rail and horse-drawn coach to the shores of B.C.’s exquisite Emerald Lake, located in the heart of what is known today as Yoho National Park. Legendary guide Tom Wilson first stumbled across this small gem of a lake – famed for its jade-coloured waters – in 1882 during the construction of the Canadian Pacific Railway.
