Trophy Island is 18.6 acres and is located in the pristine water of Kokhanok bay in Lake Iliamna. Trophy Island is 18.6 acres and is located in the pristine water of Kokhanok bay in Lake Iliamna. The island is a short boat ride from the Kokhanok river, Gibralter river as well as the Copper river which all flow into Lake Iliamna. The trout and salmon fishing in these three rivers is legendary and nearby Katmai National Park is well known for moose as well as a large concentration of brown bears. Additionally, the village of Kokhanok is approx. 15 minutes by boat and has a K-12 school, post office, medical clinic, lit 5000ft runway, cell phone service, gas and diesel sales as well as a two small food marts.
Trophy Island is accessed by float plane from either Anchorage 90 minutes, King Salmon 60 minutes or from the village of Iliamna 10 minutes. It is also accessed by ski plane in the winter months. There is scheduled turbine aircraft service from Anchorage to Iliamna and into King Salmon. Included in the sale price is all the equipment needed for additional development of structures and or a runway or seaplane harbor. Included in the sale are recently purchased tractor, snow mobile, and boat with 50hp jet and 10 hp backup - (complete list of tools and equipment - available upon request).
Amenities
110v wiring through-out, multiple can lights on both levels, hot and cold running water to kitchen and bath. The kitchen features a four burner gas cook top and propane powered refrigerator and freezer and also a larger freezer to store food in. All plumbing was designed with freeze thaw protection in mind. Laundry facilities also available (washer and dryer). There is one queen size bed and three twin beds. All linens are high quality. The bathroom enjoys a flush toilet, tub/shower and sink, and a septic system handles all the waste water produced by the cabin. The cabin is heated by wood stove.
